to HOME page My collection of Disney Original Art

When visiting & working with the Disney studio over the years, I've received some cels and drawings of Disney characters as gifts. I have also purchased a few.

The images are Copyright © Walt Disney Productions. I have included them here on the assumption that the "fair use" clause in copyright law allows it. If the copyright holder (or any writer of a dedication) objects to these images being on my www site, please inform me and I will remove the image(s) immediately (but not cheerfully).

This cel is a xeroxed background outline cel from "Rescuers". Cels like this are put over the painted backgrounds to strengthen the outlines.

This particular cel is xeroxed in two colors,
grey and brown.

This drawing by Frank Thomas, from the final sequence of "Rescuers", has a funny dedication; the newspaper headline says: "Jan-Eric takes over Disneys!! Finnish visitor wows them at Mouse Factory! Says "No change in policy!"

On this series of three drawings by Ollie Johnston, from "Rescuers", Ollie
has written a three-part dedication.

On the first drawing, he writes: "Jan - Come and see us again -"

On the second one: "Jan - This proves that I can draw the cat's face!"

And on the third, Ollie writes: "- and the girl's face, too!"

I sure believe him!

This is the front page from my treasured copy of "Aladdin - the Making of an Animated Film" As you can see, there are four dedications here:

"A million thanks for the wonderful innovation of the Animac System! You are a big part of what keeps Disney Animation humming!" - Dave Pruiksma

"We owe the success of these fast-succesive releases to you & the Animac!" - Glen Keane

"Without your Animac, I wouldn't have been such a wacky guy! Thanks a heap!" - Eric Goldberg

"Thanks a lot for all your work on the Animac. My little carpet guy wouldn't have been the same without it!" - Randy Cartwright

These dedications do NOT imply any endorsement of ANIMAC by the Disney organization.
