Originally published as a series of articles in The Home Shop Machinist. A well written, complete and detailed description of how to construct a spark erosion machine. The level of writing is suitable (looking from where I stand) for a complete novice with very litle experience in electrical systems. The EDM can almost be built from scratched parts so no great cost is involved. The machine itself is no high power system: according to the book it took four hours to remove a broken stud (aprox 9 x 50 mm ) from a cylinder hear. So do not throw away you milling machine yet. However if you have a broken steel tap in a steel piece that already represents hours of work, then one of these machines migth come handy.
